2012 Violence Prevention Day

Tags: ,

Violence Prevention Day at COMPASS was celebrated on Wednesday, June 13th, with COMPASS students, staff, famliy members and Board members in attendance. It was a full event that included music, student recognitions for achievement in areas of academics, volunteer/mentoring services, vocational activities, sports and more.

Special recognition was given to the students who created the slogans for COMPASS annual Violence Prevention t-shirt designs. The T-Shirts were worn by all in attendance and provided a wonderful reminder and a powerful visual effect.

This year marks COMPASS’ celebration of its 25th year of services dedicated to Violence Prevention.

The drawing for COMPASS’ Spring Raffle was held during the Event. Proceeds from this year’s Raffle are dedicated to supporting our year-round violence prevention activities.

Winners of the Spring Event Raffle Fundraiser were:

1st Prize, Peg Savage
2nd Prize – Jim Lebrecque
3rd prize – Abigail Normal

A HUGE THANKS to all who supported COMPASS’ Violence Prevention Day and its Spring Raffle Fundraiser!
