Spring Fundraiser

Every donation to COMPASS is very much appreciated, and helps to provide resources and support that truly make a difference in the lives of COMPASS kids and families.

We draw inspiration from the students and families who have come to count on COMPASS to be there for them during good times and bad times, and whose lives are impacted on a daily basis by poverty, violence and neglect.

Two COMPASS clients come to mind:

Tasha is an 18 year old single mother, living with her mother, 2 brothers and 2 sisters in a 2 bedroom apartment, while she also looks into living on her own; she independently gets her daughter to appointments and day care, and maintains passing marks in school; she often asks for support buying diapers, a small "emergency" for some, but real for Tasha and her daughter.
Jamal is a 15 year old, the oldest of six children of a single mom. Jamal's mother struggles putting food on the table each day and often turns to her son for support. He struggles with being the man of the house and wanting to be a kid and have fun. Food vouchers are a critical and essential support to this student and his family.
